There are a number of different card options available for your stationery to be printed on. The options available will depend on the printing, colours and finish of your invitation.
Below is an explanation of the common cards we use here at Be My Guest. There’s a couple of photos too, but please be aware that it’s pretty hard to represent colour accurately over a computer. That’s because colour appearance will vary from computer to computer depending on colour, contrast, and brightness settings on each computer, and surrounding lighting conditions.
Your very best option is to order a Sample Pack where you can get a range of swatches to see the card in the flesh.
Standard White Card
There’s two “standard” white cards we print on – one is quite glossy and is 300gsm. It’s a shiny surface perfect for printing a full colour onto. The other standard white card we print onto has a flat, matt appearance and is 240gsm. As it’s a lighter weight card, we only use it for smaller items where weight is not a consideration.
This 285gsm card has a lightly textured surface and a matt finish. One of my favourites!
This 300gsm card is a warm cream colour with a smooth texture.
This warm grey coloured card is a soft card which is 210gsm.
Another favourite of mine. This off-white card has a lovely shimmer which adds a touch of glamour and luster to any invitation. It’s 285gsm.
A bright silver metallic card, it is also 285gsm. It has a metallic shimmer through it, giving it a lovely shimmer.
This brown, organic look card is a popular choice. The 240gsm card is sturdy and textured.
